DIXON
1 JAMES DIXON of Bacup, Lancashire, Wyke near Bradford, Yorkshire and Wortley, Yorkshire, coal miner, was born ca 1792 at Halifax, Yorkshire[1] and died on 27 October 1866 at Lower Wortley.[2] He married on 20 August 1815 at Rochdale, Lancashire, ELLEN EASTWOOD,[3] who was born ca 1794 at Bacup[4] and died on 27 October 1870 at Farnley, Leeds.[5]

2 JAMES DIXON of Lower Wortley, coal miner and broker, was born at Bacup, baptised there on 24 July 1825[17] and died on 19 March 1892 at Lower Wortley.[18] He married first, on 5 November 1847 at Birstall, Yorkshire, SARAH PEARSON,[19] daughter of Joseph and Mary (Wilkinson) Pearson of Wyke, who was born at Wyke, baptised on 20 July 1823 at Wibsey, Yorkshire,[20] and died on 28 October 1867 at Lower Wortley.[21] James Dixon married second, on 15 November 1874 at Birstall, HANNAH WATERHOUSE,[22] daughter of Joseph and Mary Waterhouse, who was born on 1 October 1838 at East Bierley[23] and died on 18 April 1902 at Wortley.[24]

Polly was born on 18 March 1861 at Leeds, and died on 6 November 1935 at Wortley.
